smart pistol is only good when you're farming bots to get first fall, else it's not good

on consoles, if you are in mid air, the smart pistol will help against other people who are using controllers. but on pc, where aim is superior, the advantage of the smart pistol diminishes even more.

it does lock on quite slow, and you need 3 bullets to down a single player (or robot unit). using the enhanced tracking makes smart pistol harder to use due to the reduced lock on cone (NOT RANGE)



Titanfall's repetitive gameplay is caused by the map design, jetpack, and titans themselves. Because players can traverse the map so easily (and at a rapid pace) - every map feels the same and makes you bored. Older shooters don't have this problem, and can control engagement distance/interval/intensity on different maps. Offering diversity on the included maps.

This is an interesting point because nobody would've ever thought adding jetpacks somehow diminished the game's map variety.

But there are many games that offered vertical movement (Quake, Crysis, etc) and those had maps that felt unique with different engagement ranges.

So would you say Titanfall didn't have particularly well designed maps?

Bots added nothing to the game , they were just target practice and distracting from the real plays..

Gameplay was amoung some of the smoothest movement and the Titan controls were amazing, I'd last sometimes all game in my first Titan Drop

Agreed bro, goodbye bots i feel like they seriously interfered with gameplay. I think that alone will make the game more indepth.

How does removing a dynamic that allow an alternate win condition add more depth?

The maps can be traversed way too fast.

Titans can't go inside the building and is only presented with a small predefined track encircling those buildings.


Quake and Crysis map design + Player movespeed is slower than titanfall and they don't have much freedom in how to increase their speed (jump, sprint, low gravity jump, jump pads etc).

How's that not logical, it's my opinion. Bots make gameplay corny. I want real players only. Add bots too COD or BF ... Not for me 😐.

Hope the sequel will use Frostbite or something else, to be honest Source engine is outdated, and not to mention the first game was just rather poorly optimized despite using the Source engine which is usually highly optimized. Capped at 60 FPS didn't exactly help either and the graphics were just meh, didn't look any better than other games running on Source.

The unlock and level up system was so fast and easy that I felt no enjoyment or accomplishment from playing the game. I like games that take a while to achieve new unlocks and accolades.
I used to enjoy COD on X360 during COD4 when I went and unlocked all the golden guns then had something to show for my long hours of play. Then MW2 had allot of game card accolades to unlock as well, which gave me some sort of goal along with weapon camos. Then the whole game series died for me when everything turned into buying these type things instead of earning them.

Titanfall literally has nothing going for it to show progression or achievement. Top that with the mindless COD gameplay that requires no strategy other than fast reflexes and target acquisition, it just wasn't drawing me into the game. Even the whole mech fighting aspect was boring when you are guaranteed to get them over and over every game.
