free performance without being bottleneck by DX11 CPU AMD overhead? eek.gif

Seeing no official word on it and expecting it to not happen. sad-smiley-002.gifsad-smiley-002.gifsad-smiley-002.gif

Nvidia DX11 is so much better and there is noway that i5 would be bottlenecking GTX 980.

I dont see how your comment/video relates to anything said in this thread. It is already well known that BF4 is a really well optimized game along with its engine.

How so?

Argue about DX11 vs DX12 and AMD vs NVIDIA CPU overhead. - last few pages.
Now here is a proof how bad i5 4460 actually is... well i5 4460 is great CPU for its price, but software is holding it back.

Keep in mind that if i5 4460 with AMD DX11 gets 30 FPS, with NVIDIA DX11 will get around 45 FPS... well DX12 is much different and we need it badly.

And when we get DX12 games only (2-4 years) then we can see some serious power savings

Rise of Tomb Raider could be among the first AAA games that take advantage of DirectX 12, with developer Crystal Dynamics planning a massive update that adds a new renderer, and new content (VFX, geometry, textures).

The latest version of the game features an ominously named "DX12.dll" library in its folder, and while it doesn't support DirectX 12 at the moment, a renderer selection has appeared in the game's launcher.

This can probably be included/merged in the original post.

Possibly but OCN isn't really known for merging, they usually just end up locking posts. Didn't find it in search because I was looking in Software News.
