Hi Guys,

After searching long and hard for a new general use monitor, I've narrowed it down to a couple of choices,
the Dell Ultrasharp 1440p/60Hz in 25 inches, or the Acer H277HU.

My problem lies with the fact that the GPU I'm running is quite old (Nvidia GTS250) and can only output through
DVI-D which the Dell monitor doesn't have.
As such, can I use a DVI-D to HDMI adapter to run at 1440p?
Is that feasible at all?
I've found an adapter that connects to the HDMI port of the monitor, converts the signal to DVI-D and then I can hook it
to a standard DVI-D cable right through to the GPUs port.

Does anyone have any idea if this will work?

Or should I just go ahead and buy something else?

I'm not looking to upgrade my system anytime soon.

GPU supports maximum resolution of 1600p.
