And one last thing, you actually "passively" cool the 980 Ti with the mk-26? If so, I'll get one asap!

Hey Nizr,
Haven`t ditched it at all. I was just busy lately. I also couldn`t find a silver w. teempered glass one, so i eventually ran out of patience and i`ve bought a normal one. I received it tuesday and i`ve been tinkering with it the last two days.

I ran into some problems, mostly related to the pcie 16x riser. I`ve bought one from ThermalTake (about 30 euro) and it doesn`t work. I ca see the post untill windows begins to load, then everything goes black. Without it the card runs fine (but i can`t mount the behemoth 200mm psu). I`m returning it and i`ll see what can i do after.
I had to drill the bolts on the floor of the case, that kept the ssd bays (i`m hiding the ssds between the psu and the front wall of the case) and i`m thinking about buying a Dremel to cut two 140mm holes in the "floor"
about the passive cooling, that depends. It can stay totally passive without any breeze of air in idle (about 20 tabs opened in chrome, active browsing/watching youtube and a 1080p mkv running on the seccondary display) and it stays withing 60 degrees. With a light breeze (from the case fans, about 5cm away, at about 500 rpm) i can play Dota2 in 4k with frames limited to 60fps and again, a movie running on the 2nd display, for my wife smile.gif
In intensive gaming - bf1 4k ultra, with 2 120mm Noctuas at ~700 rpm attached to the MK-26 it stays at ~80 degrees while totally silent.
I can say that i`m very happy with the MK-26 and i`ll probably swap the cooling even on the EVGA 1080 Ti ftw3.

other things to consider: the outer edge of the MK-26 extends beyond the width of the case. Even without the motherboard installed, the gpu`s fins extend a few mm. The riser adds to that too. I`m currently considering selling my 4690k, buying a mini Itx mobo lga 1151 and a Pentium G4560, which will become my separate media pc, but i will use them for gaming untill the next generation launches. Lots of thoughts have crossed my mind these days smile.gif
Even so, i think i`d have to dremel the fins smile.gif) so it will fit inside the case.
I probably could have avoided all that hassle going with the UMX-4, but heh, where`s the fun if you don`t have to mod it? Any spoiled kid could do it smile.gif

Inconveniences asside, i love the case. It`s so elegant, so anti-rgb madness, it`s everything i expect from a pc: sleek, silent, powerful.

I ran into problems when installing the Genesis - I couldn't fit my psu (seasonic 850w prime platinum). The motherboard is a Asus Gene Viii (mAtx) - the genesis 1-2cm over the edge of the motherboard towards the psu annoying!

So I ordered the C3 - hope the mk26 will fit as well!

I mounted my ssd's "on" the psu:

There you can see the genesis 1-2cm over the mobo edge.

Finishing up a Lian Li PC-Q25 server will do a photo shoot once that is done.

Will the jonsbo u4 ever lower in price? Has it ever, in the past? I'm located in California, in the good ol us of a. I know they just came out in the states; I'm on a budget.

I'm right about to pull the trigger and make the purchase on jonsbousa.com....just want to know if that's a good idea or if I should wait wink.gif

Considering that's about the only place stateside you can buy the thing direct and it being $115 or so, I dont think you are going to find it cheaper anywhere. I say pull the trigger and post up some pics!!

Hi all, I've been thinking about building my own gaming pc for quite some time and hope to make it happen in the next month or so. In the search of a nice case I found the Jonsbo UMX4 which seems to fit perfectly. I did see however that they recently introduced the RM4, which is slightly bigger. Does anyone have any experience with the RM4 or can comment on which would be the better case (eg in terms of airflow)? I'm going back and forth between the UMX4, RM4 and the Define C, and while i much prefer the look of the Jonsbo's the Define C is slightly smaller which is a plus for me.

In theory, UMX4 has the best GPU & CPU air cooling but the PSU might run a bit hotter. It is more restricted for watercooling. HDD space may be limited if you have a large PSU.

RM4 is better for watercooling since it can fit a 360+240mm rad (possibly 360+280mm) rad. Also more space for drives. It's got fan mounts in the bottom for direct GPU air cooling similar to the UMX4. But it is the largest one by a landslide (46l).

Define C has the fans at the top (lower CPU but higher GPU temps). No tempered glass window but built-in noise damping, though it's very thin so I'd rather buy some real noise damping material instead (bitumen+foam). Slightly shorter but taller than UMX4.

Personally, I'd pick the UMX4 for air cooling and style,
RM4 for compatibility with watercooling and drives
and Define C for value.
