How did you get your GPU to stand vertically?

Yours looks very impressive

I added a Cooler Master Vertical GPU adapter. Had to cut out all but two of the expansion slot dividers to get it in there. With my 980ti Strix it is very tight against my CPU cooler, almost to the point of touching. I had to remove the CPU cooler to get the GPU mounted, but I made it fit. Need to clean up the GPU cables a bit so they look a little more uniform.

Two versions of the GPU mount:
Without Riser Card
With Riser Card

I would suggest the one with the riser, that way it's guaranteed to fit and screw into the GPU adapter.

That is a genius product, I almost replaced my case let me get my hands on one of these
I am liquid cooled at the moment and this would allow me to save for my big case/loop upgrade rather than do it in bits.

Looks nice. I thought I had a bunch of stuff crammed in mine!! lol

With having a bottom Rad you might not be able to fit it, if you need some measurements let me know. Better than spending $50 and finding out you can't use it.

Hi Fritzz

Yeah the bottom rad will be a problem, I also have a front rad in there which is currently running passive, I intend to put two 12mm slim fans on the front behind the front panel
I did manage to get the side panel on after removing the SeaHawk cover. Its very very close though I think there is only 1mm spare and I reckon the card touches the glass

I think a case upgrade is needed, the Lian LI PC-011 is in my sights with it's vertical GPU option
The W2 may have to find a new loving home smile.gif

Thanks for all the info and help smile.gif

I managed to snag the last black windowed W2 that PC-Cooling in Germany had (thanks very much to @orbitalwalsh) for €150 including shipping. My Ryzen build has finally begun.

Awesome stuff, you won't regret it, I have really enjoyed the W2, initially got the original perspex edition back in 2014, upgraded it with the tempered glass kit, which was quite an adventure with a drill thumb.gif

I really look forward to seeing what you create with it.

I'm going with an air cooled build using BeQuiet fans as the colour accent. It'll be mostly black and grey, but with little bits of white and orange. White from the CPU cooler fan (Thermalright Le Grand Macho RT) and possibly LEDs (if I decide to light the system up), black and grey from the motherboard (ASUS C6H), black and orange from the Aorus GTX 1080, black and orange from the G.Skill TridentZ memory (if I can find them), and custom cables. I might start a build log for it 'cause I have a few questions I'd like to ask peeps.

Led's mount best top and bottom in the case
the sides on mine have fitting blocks for the front panel and the back has a little interference.
Best of luck with it, I ran aircooled for quite some time and it was quite easy to get a positive airflow through the system.

I had 120mm Fans drawing in at the bottom, 140mm front fans drawing in, and a single fan at the back for an exhaust.
Front and rear fans were included with the case.
