The Divison beta, 3440x1440, 70% usage of both cards on average, 50fps with absolutely everything maxed, no stuttering, no artifacts.

SW:BF - same, but cards average 95%+ usage and 90fps.

I would love a single more powerful card, but I need frames, and a single card won't do it. I don't foresee a time in the future where I will be content with the frames 1 card provides. I've used SLI for years, and it's mostly problem-free. Diagnosing problems is always more difficult as you have an additional set of variables in play. SLI scaling is great in some games, average in others. The Division has disappointed me, because I really need the frames 100% scaling would give me. That said, it's still faster than 100% usage with the best single card available. When I upgrade, I always buy 2 new cards.

Even AA is maxed out? A bit disappointing a pair of 980 Ti only manage 50fps. It's a beta though, here's hoping the full release sees frame rate improvements.

What do you guys play? The Division Beta, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Tom Clancy Rainbow 6, BF4 etc

At what resolution? 3440 X 1440

What are your frame rates? All Max Possible Settings: BF4: 130 +/- , Rise of the Tomb Raider: 60 +/-, Tom Clancy Rainbow 6: 68 +/-, The Division Beta: As above 50 +/- ish but holding hope it's just beta & will be properly optimized come release.

How is the support and consistency? I'd say not bad at all, Although some games are optimised more than others. Game Ready drivers with Nvidia are pretty much on point. Otherwise slight delays don't bother me at all.

Stuttering? Artifacts? No but the odd hiccup here & there sometimes when running beta drivers etc.

Would you go back to a single more powerful card if given the chance? I've always done SLI for performance & frames. On the side I will say its Aesthetically pleasing in my loop with two cards rather than a single also... So no I would't go back down to a single card, I was an early adopter to SLI on its release & don't see that changing any time soon.

More AA really didn't do much to the frames, it just made the usage go up. There are a lot of games like that - you'll see 60% usage on both cards at a certain FPS, and raising AA or resolution scaling just makes the usage go up but the frames stay the same. In that sense, SLI scaling can be strange at times. Rarely does it not help it in some way, though.

When you guys say all max settings is it with AA or without it? Adding copious amounts of AA tends to completely destroy performance for me.

I had 980 SLI for almost a year.

I had no issues other than finding out that you sometimes cannot mix two 980 from different vendors such as one evga and one zotac.

However, I generally do not purchase games on release day either and that simple fact alone eliminates a lot of issues. Usually once they hit Steam sales is when I buy.

What do you guys play?
Pretty much a mix of everything, from BF4, XCOM 2, Witcher 3, Flight Simulator, Cities Skyline and so on.

At what resolution?
3440 x 1440 @ 60hz. Will likely move to 3440 x 1440 @ 100 hz and G-Sync however once ASUS ROG panel is released.

What are your frame rates?
Everything usually maxed. DSR or 150% / 200% resolution scaling with everything maxed in most titles while maintaining 60 fps. Few titles which do not support SLI or poorly optimised needs few tweaks. XCOM 2 being an example where only single card seems to work properly needs settings reduced as I like to maintain 60 fps.

How is the support and consistency?

On the whole, support seems decent. Somewhat disappointed with some recent titles not supporting SLI properly or at least initially. Fallout 4 being an example . The Third GPU however in some titles does not do too much so will usually just disable the card or set it to Physx. But that't fair enough as usually most SLI support is based on 2 way configs.

Stuttering? Artifacts?
Not too much. However at times it takes abit of messing around with v-sync fps cap etc to get smooth settings. Think I need to move to G-sync really.

Would you go back to a single more powerful card if given the chance?
Doubt it. I just love the way 3 way SLI fills up the case, yes I am very sad like that guiltysmiley.gif Having said that I will likely upgrade to a pair of Titan Pascals rather then 3 way if I decide to keep my current case as keeping stock coolers on 3 cards in a stack does get things hot. But my case does not have enough radiator support for 3 Titan X's and the 5960x, but love it too much to get rid of it redface.gif

I just got mine recently and I gotta say I'm quite happy with the performance.

Witcher 3. Ultra+Hairworks at max runs at 60fps at 2560x1440.

Assassin's Creed Unity. Ultra settings+FXAA 70fps at 2560x1440.

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor. Ultra+Ultra textures over 60fps at 4K downsampled to 1440p.

Ryse Son of Rome. Max settings. Super Sampling 1.5x.1.5x mostly 60fps but can dip to around 53 at 2560x1440.

Battlefield 4. 100+fps at 2560x1440 Ultra+4xMSAA.

Metro Last Light Redux and 2033 Redux. Max settings at 2560x1440 get over 100fps. If I enable 2x SSAA it drops to the 50's 60's. 4x SSAA just slaughters performance.

Dragon Age Inquisition. Everything maxed+4x MSAA at 2560x1440. Again 60fps or above most of the time.

I made the right choice with those cards. It's quite a step up from using a pair of 7850's for 6 months and a GTX 275 for a month.

SLI 2x EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 - Stock clocks on air

What do you guys play?
BF4, Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, FO4, RoTR, SW Battlefront, Witcher 3

At what resolution?
1440p @ 144Hz w/ G-Sync and side monitor @ 1280x1024 in portrait

What are your frame rates?
Depends on the game - average for BF4 & Elite Dangerous is ~120FPS most of the time on ultra. Newer high GPU intensive games I get 60-90FPS on Very High

How is the support and consistency?
Seems good to me so far. Newly released games always have SLI issues. Most have been fixed.

Stuttering? Artifacts?
No stutter (thanks G-Sync) or artifacts.

Would you go back to a single more powerful card if given the chance?
Seems like whenever I'm in the market for a new GPU, I upgrade my rig with a SLI configuration with my existing card, then when I want to upgrade after SLI I go back to 1 high/mid range GPU. It's a never-ending cycle rolleyes.gif

Long story short, I'm happy with this setup. Will hopefully last me for a few years before I get the upgrade bug.
