[TT/3DC] AMD's enthusiast Polaris GPU teased, could be priced at $1700

We're seeing that AMD has been pushing its next-gen Polaris GPUs around - with a new Polaris-based flagship GPU, and the successor to the Fury X making an appearance.

The new C99 "FOC" (Full Operational Capacity) has been spotted on Zauba, with the C99 part being priced at $1700. This is an insane jump from the price of the previous Polaris-based C98 and C91/C92 chips. The C98 should be the successor to the R9 390 series, which will arrive as the new Polaris-based R9 490/490X. The C99 on the other hand could be the huge enthusiast Polaris, the successor to the Fury X, or some crazy dual-GPU beast.

You can see previous shipping manifest speculation here with Polaris cards that are not as high of a tier as this one is in the OP.

Prices in 3rd World countries are not indicative of prices in 1st World Countries. Princes in India are really not indicative.

I know nothing on part numbers but is this definitely Polaris?
Possibly Fury X2?

Obviously AMD won't be releasing a $1,700 GPU. So a safer assumption is this is the flagship likely at $1,000. Possibly a dual GPU up at the odd $1,300.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is just 2 units. Mass production = lower price?

No wonder why I couldn't find it in here, it was sneaked into Hardware News.

Honestly though, it belongs here. I'm thinking a dual-GPU card but that would make Gemini/Fury x2 a even worse buy if this comes late this year

I doubt it will be that much. $1700 for a GPU that will probably be pretty average in 2 years no thanks. Even $1k is getting a bit silly for a GPU. Not like they last long.
