Asus motherboard for OC (differences)

Thread Starter
Hi there,

I'll buy an ASUS motherboard and I want to know if all Asus motherboards have the same level of overclock. I dont need the extra features from the more expensive ones.

For example, is there any difference between Asus X99-A and Asus X99-Deluxe for overclock?

Cheers!

If you compare the specs:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/X99A/specifications/

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/X99DELUXE/specifications/

Looks like wireless, bluetooth, and number of video cards supported are the main differences

ASUS 5X Protection :
- ASUS DIGI+ VRM - 8 Phase digital power design
- ASUS Enhanced DRAM Overcurrent Protection - Short circuit damage prevention
- ASUS ESD Guards - Enhanced ESD protection
- ASUS High-Quality 5K-Hour Solid Capacitors - 2.5x long lifespan with excellent durability
- ASUS Stainless Steel Back I/O - 3x more durable corrosion-resistant coating

That's what's important for overclocking. and both are 8-way power.
