Far Cry Primal 101 video reveals the deadly details
Quote:
So let me make sure I'm absolutely clear on this: the animals want to eat you, the cannibals want to eat you, and the psychotic fire-wielding tribe want to char-grill and maybe eat you if there's nothing else going. It's going to be one of those sorts of days.
The latest Far Cry Primal video fills in the blanks in the wake of the story trailer. Bear riding, for example, is confirmed; owl executions also guaranteed. More striking is the confirmation of a settlement-building component in which you not only round up the scattered survivors of your tribe but are required to gather the material to help them open up shop, in turn unlocking more missions and 'spiritual journeys', which are confirmed to involve boobs, in keeping with previous Far Cry games. Tradition is tradition, I guess, but maybe give the video a pass if you're at work.
Otherwise the trailer is five minutes of anarchic fun, involving phrases like "flaming ball of destruction" and "double bow and arrow". Good stuff.
guaranteed to run like junk on an overclocked i7 and 980ti; probably won't support SLi, and 6 months from the release date people will still struggle to get more then 50fps in this title in 1080p even with top end machines.

I think if everyone in the news section can just direct there anger at the game makers when justified and not the hardware makers it would be a better section.
the bs in the news section is what hurt XS forums so much
anyways they seemed to pretty much jump the shark maybe for the better?

Yeah it looks really good indeed, miles better than what was showcased at E3. Also good to see how big of a difference it is in terms of graphical fidelity when compared to the console's versions.
It's actually kind of good. Although I probably will stay away from it just because it's not my type of game. It's also really darn graphic and bloody... Not sure this is going to get good reviews from the media because of that. I'm sure we'll hear about it on the news when it's closer to release...
Far cry 4 has incredible graphics! It's good they're pushing the engines even more these days. Still surprised on fc4 can max my 2500k at 4.5ghz finally...
I agree it didnt "need" to be labeled as a Far Cry title, but I dont see why it cant be part of the series. Far Cry has always been based on an open world, story centric, action title, with light rpg elements; all of these things seem to be present in this installment. The only thing different is the time era.

Actually looks pretty cool. I thought it was dumb when i first heard of it. I'll buy it when it runs well on a high end machine with proper sli support. So maybe later this year if ever lol.
Well the title is still presented in first person and while there isnt firearms there are still ranged weapons, it seems as if ranged weapons still play a large role in the game itself. Melee weapons have been incorporated in most of the modern Far Cry titles so that doesnt strike me as anything new.
The game literally follows most of the established aspects of a Far Cry title, the only thing different is the time era and a few mechanics changed to accommodate this.
FC3 was really good. FC4 had potential but story was not same levels as FC3.
