Trash cupboard update ... magnets failed. I couldn't feel any difference at all. Next step (this weekend) is to add a small bolt that will go into the side of the trash cupboard door.

I picked up some loctite Threadlocker Blue 242 from Home Depot and used that instead of the tape. It is currently curing. I'll see how that turns out tonight.

Update: I tested it tonight by pumping it up to just under 10PSI. The needle appeared to move down a hair in the first 30 seconds and then stop. Two (2) hours later, it was still where it stopped.

Test of the tester to see if the tester passed the test: Complete - Passed.

Excellent. Should be delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to unpacking it and setting it up. I've also ordered a HDMI to DVI adapter as my PC switch uses DVI and this monitory doesn't have DVI. It has VGA ... not DVI ... go figure?

They make KVM switches with HDMI ports now, could always upgrade.

True ... but it seems easier to buy a $10 adapter than a $60 switch.

B&H delivered the new monitor ... it is sitting on my other desk growling at me ... and it is huge. I am not sure if it is too big yet.

Amazon ... on the other hand ... dropped the ball and my DVI / HDMI adapter is delayed ... bistards! Should have been here yesterday ... now expected Friday! According to Amazon, I can order a new one right now, pay $4 and get it tomorrow. This is when you miss the local electronic store ... you just cannot pick these sorts of things up anymore. Are we getting to dependent on these sorts of services? What happens when the singularity occurs?

I tested my loop ... or what there is of it (2 x rad) but plugging the in and out section of the pedestal and attaching my air tester to the drain. It failed frown.gif. I'll have to review my connections to see what is going on.

I've been air testing my system and have found it really hard to get it air tight, but all was not lost. I didn't have any obvious leaks that I could hear/see and the leak rate was pretty low, in my opinion at least, so I decided to fill it up with water.

Didn't leak any water after a 12 hour leak test. Drained the water and decided to try air testing it again. Magically it held the air perfectly with no leaks.

Don't know what exactly changed between the tests, other than the seals may have been able to settle a bit with water, but nonetheless it worked out.
