Welcome aboard.

I feel as if I am putting off addressing my 'pump not fitting' issue. I'll continue to tinker with side issues for a while and let the issue percolate in the background.

RAM testing with memtest86 continues ... should be finished in 4 days.

The Pump Contraption is Home

In the spirit of putting off dealing with the pump contraption not fitting under the mid-chassis part ... here is pictures showing how the pump contraption is attached to the base.

That is cut-off radiator gasket in the second picture. Just a little bit more pump / case separation.

Also ... see the little dimples in the first picture?

Open Mid-Chassis Surgery

Big build day today. I have lots of toys to play with now and have been playing smile.gif. But ... time to man up and face the mid-chassis section. Bah ... if I screw it up, I can fix it with $23 plus shipping. Taped the part, drew lines, clammed it to the bench and went jigsaw crazy! I also drilled a stonken great pilot hole for the main cut along the back.

I think it turned out pretty well.

Thanks for the pics.

I might just see if that is an option?

2 x Edit: Fixed he / she - oops

Edit 3: Link to Newtocooling's Bond build log. And a picture of the cover mod with the side attached ...

Been looking this over for a while, really well laid out build log, and photos.
I thought I'd better say I'm subbed, lol.

I like what you've done modding the mid panel, to accommodate the D5's.
And the pedestal mods, and attachment method are really slick.

Hopefully the motherboard setup is all worked out now, that is some really nice hardware there.

A lot of work left, but it will be well worth it.

Thanks for the post. All plumbing connection ideas blatantly stolen from StuttgartRob ... but it does work very nicely.

New PC is up and running on my 2nd desk (in the office). I had to steal the GPU from my main PC. It is 48hrs through a memtest at the moment ... no issues.

Yep ... I was thinking ahead and I have clear view on a bunch of items ... not so much on all of them.

Tiny little update ... plumbing the pumps ... outlet plumbed ... inlet outstanding.

Certainly nothing wrong with borrowing some ideas from others, I recall when you showed the pedestal mounting, you mentioned that it was a "direct lift" from StuttguartRob, and included a link, etc.
Which can certainly be helpful to others as well.

Glad the testing is going well, running through the agony of Memtest, lol.

Neat to see the dual D5's as you are doing them, with separate pump tops, as opposed to using a Dual-D5 top.
The Heatkiller tops are real class, as are those AC D5's.

Is that a reference to the Licorice theme, with the black coil over the pump tubing?, lol.

That should work out well, and it is nice to have the peace of mind, from the redundancy of running two pumps.

Well, the "Where Next" clicky shows a rather intriguing reservoir, looking forward to that, and all the rest.thumb.gif

Tiny little update(TM) number 2 ... I couldn't sleep to I got up at 4am and drilled a hole in my mid-chassis section (as you do). I actually moved the hole about 15mm towards the front of the case ... just in case my future GPU turned out longer than expected.

LiqAsrt-0281.jpg

Poo, poo, human excrement ,****! A 45° fitting plus a soft tube fitting hit the pump and stop the mid-chassis part bedding down. I could use a 90° but I am trying to keep those well away from the pumps.

OCN ... help!!!

Cookie to those that come up with a solution, or partial solution.
