Good afternoon, everyone. As my subject line states, I am brand new to overclocking and I was hoping for some guidance on getting the most out of my CPU. I have an i7 4790k with a CM 212 EVo cooler, and asrock fatality professional z97 motherboard. I have corsair vengeance 1600 mhz RAM, with a Kingston 128 SSD and a corsair 700W PSU. All components except the CPU, RAM & Mobo are about three years old. I ran through a quick and dirty overclockers guide and, due to my inability to translate the guides terminology to my ASrock UEFI settings, I was only able to figure out how to set my vcore voltage to adaptive so that it gives 1.25v Vcore under heavy load. I enabled multicore enhancement so that the same frequency is dispersed among all the cores. I didn't change my multiplier at all since its an unlocked processor that automatically turbos to 4.32 ghz as necessary, so I figured setting the adaptive vcore voltage to 1.25 would suffice. Basically, I'm not sure if any of the settings I have in there right now are cohesive and conducive to my CPU running powerfully yet efficiently. Any and all suggestions would be much appreciated, and I'm more than willing to provide detailed information from my BIOS and any sort of diagnostic tool you all would require. Thanks in advance for any help!
