And the pump on my H55 is only noticeable on first boot. I hear the water rushing through it. After that its just my fans, most of which are silent series fans (Fractal Design) Not to mention mine has been working well since around December of 2013.

Haha yeah it is! i was almost tempted to get some black paint and rattle can the interior but said eff it and just kept it metal colored.

This system is awesome. Fans are kinda noisy, but that's fine for me! helps me sleep at night.

I ran 3dmark vantage on my old setup before i tore it down. The difference isn't even comparable.

A little fan hum helps me too. I can't handle too much silence, I need some ambient noise

Curious now to see how my current system stacks up against yours, Since I did run a Phenom II X4 and a 7850 a while back. I'll run vantage and see I guess.

EDIT:

Worse I guess.

Vantage is fixed resolution right? So if you run it on like, a 1280x1024 screen it doesnt alter the results? Cause i cant remember if i ran it on my old screen or the new one.

Isn't OCCT cpu heat bench ? try with a real GPU bench like heaven or smth

other idea. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I thought outside the box, and zip tied a 120mm intake fan under the gpu, outside the case. I remembered the rear intake fan has a 3 pin header AND a molex connector. I just happened to have a molex powered 120mm fan (with 3 speed switch) and zip tied it to the case. Im very tempted to now add a cardboard partition in the middle of the case so the gpu has its own dedicated intake/exhaust, and the cpu has its own dedicated intake/exhaust.

Im running occts gpu burn test. Unlimited frame rate. 1538mhz (set to 1350/1500) boost clock, 1873mhz (set to 1875)memory (7500mhz about) voltage at 1.162v and temps seem to be stabilized at 75c with the gpu fan at 90%

the GPU fan is the quietest fan in the entire system. and yes, closed back headphones. But the radiator fans and my single corsair SP120 (the loudest of all my fans) really drown it out.

Gonna see if I can run heavens benchmark 4.0 at 1600mhz (raised my TDP to 125% by modifying the bios)

Gigabyte Windforce coolers are pretty quiet fans

ok yeezus lol yeah the fans ARE quiet but the reviews are talking about the stock fan profile (they should really indicate the RPM/%) lol it would be the same for my 780ti DCII : the thing is very quiet at stock fan profile (60-65%) and at the value i block it to when playing (60%) but anything higher than that is pretty noisy.
Keep up the good work but please dont fry your GPU because you went full jigaggertz migawattz on the poor thing lol.
quick photo pls ?
