Looks good, maybe take a 6600k, change the cpu cooler and take a better case.
Dunno about PSU though

You dont need a PSU that big its massive overkill.
Even if you add another card its overkill.

Even if you did need that much wattage the EVGA SuperNova G2 and RMx cost about the same and are newer and better.

I give you one BA rig:

So there is some £££ left over which you could either buy some nice fans, new SSD, upgrade to the i7 or get a 980Ti instead of the 2x980s

Also its colour matched! Black and white baby! biggrin.gif

EDIT: I forgot a CPU cooler doh.gif

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hff9f7
I just would like to add that I want to stick with i7 and DDR4 RAM to make sure I won't need to undate anything for at least 3-4 years

This looks fine to me. Scan.co.uk aren't listed on PC Part Picker and you'll get some of those items cheaper direct from Scan.

i think he shoud go for the x99 system.. I no everyone always says you dont need it. but for upgrading id say its the better option.
it can be overclocked to a decent frequency. more memory expansion. better pcie support for multi gpu's & supposedly skylake E will be the same socket & just a bios update?
it will be handy in the future if start doing something like encoding/rendering etc & thats where your money will have been better spent. if not then its cost you a bit more in electric lol rolleyes.gif

Absolutely no need for a 1000 watt PSU when a 600 watt will power 2 980s, other than that yeh this buiild is better than mine thumb.gif

I agree 1000W is unnecessary, I just did a like for like price!

I've made some recommended changes here. The Noctua cooler isn't as pretty but it's much better.

SLI 980s is pointless. In my experience, Multi-GPU just causes too many issues. Single, more powerful GPU has always been a better experience. I use a single 980Ti for 4K and it's sufficient.

The AMD Fury is a better buy than the GTX980.

The EVGA SuperNova GQ series are rather average below 850 watts, the G2 would be a much better option.
