MSI X99S Krait Edition USB ports acting up...???

Thread Starter
Is there a limitation on the amount of USB devices that can be plugged into a X99 motherboard? Or is just mine about to go up in flames?

MSI X99S SLI Krait Edition

Right now I got:
  • Blue Yeti Microphone
  • Schiit Modi 2
  • Corsair K70 RGB
  • Logitech G602
  • Asus External BluRay
  • WD My Book

All ports seem to work independently but if all devices are plugged in it takes a little moving around to specific ports to make them all work and even then every other boot or so one device connection will fail...

Got the latest BIOS and the latest drivers (Common sense step after all...) and got plenty of power in my build. For a more detailed build head to the rig in my sig or PCPartpicker

This seems to be a very common problem with various X99 motherboards.
Sometimes a slight bump on the VCCio voltage in the Bios might fix your issue.

Try to add a littlebit more voltage on the vccio you could start at arround 1.1V / 1.2V ish. (could be more could be less)
You need to play arround with that a bit to find a smooth stable number.
Because it can realy variate per cpu / motherboard.

Good luck smile.gif
