I have been really enjoying my G303 for a while but for some reason the sensor malfunctions only in 1 game, CSGO.
When I do extremely fast flick shots or 180 turns my cursor ends up either pointing towards the sky or floor. Its kind of annoying.
I can only replicate this kind of behavior from the mouse from CSGO.
Any other game or desktop environment, no matter how fast I swipe my mouse, it never malfunctions, and im talking like im really giving it extremely hard and violent swips across my mousepad. Im basically trying to make it malfunction.
Is there a reason for this?
edit : forgot to mention settings.
G303 settings:
1200 DPI
1000 HZ
CSGO settings :
Rawinput on
Sensitivity 1.2
I have tried 500hz polling, same behavior as well as lowering the DPI and increasing sens in game. All exhibit same behavior.
Mine malfunctions anywhere, ** The only thing I've found that can kind of make it occur less was going to
Device Manager>Universal Serial Bus Controller>Find the first USB ROOT HUB>Right click properties>power options>Uncheck allow this device to be turned off to save power
It won't stop it from happening but it will make it less frequent - not sure how it's related. Haven't been able to stop it completely either. It's the g303 for sure. I've had 3 of them and they all do it.
Can use a mouse from any other brand and it will never occur. I just made mine malfunction on the desktop with this page open
i had this problem occur while using a puretrak talent and everglide titan fnatic. never been able to reproduce it when using my corepad c1 and it hasn't happened ever since i updated the firmware a couple of months ago.

Ran it from the folder, it installed the firmware however after installing I did it again and it just installed it again - so it never actually checks from that file itself if it's already on the same version. I'll see if it made a difference but unlikely I think I was already on that version -- and unlike OP my crosshair doesn't flick down or upward the mouse itself just shuts off

It should. The firmware update normally has a version check. Will state you already have blahblahblah like here at the bottom insteaf of "To begin...".

Mine shows that picture every time I do it even after the update is successful. Exactly the way it shows u there and it can't be exited unless u kill the process
But I flashed it twice already the mouse is still working - only thing was one setting got set back to default which was 'show LED startup effect when mouse turns on or something"
Scratch my post above - it still happens in-game. Happened 4 times in less than 15 minutes. Entire mouse shuts off (multiple g303's do this) . Also got it to malfunction on desktop again (had to swipe furiously fast)

I have never had this happen on my G303. I did have it happen on my G502 in BF4 but I have never experienced it in CSGO. You could see if surface calibration helps but I know before an update, some time ago, surface calibration actually caused this issue on the G502.

I had and have this problem with a G502, SS Rival and a sharkoon fireglider.
I can also reproduce this problem with my fireglider whenever I want.
For example I swipe fast to the right, lift the mouse and turn it back down while moving to the left.
My aim will spin and shoot to the ground or in the air.
People with all kind of mouse brands report about this problem - and always in CSGO.
Yes I do, I just tested on Artisan hayate otsu and steelseries QCK Mass. All exhibit the same behavior.
I wonder if maybe something is up with my CSGO install files? Im going to have to uninstall and reinstall the game to make sure.
I forgot to mention that I do have the MarkC mousefix installed, i wonder if maybe this is interfering with anything in CSGO. I have read that the creator of this mousefix recommended even to not use it for CSGO.

I'll try 'surface calibration' later today. I've only ever had this much malfunctioning on the original zowie ec-1 series. Back when almost everyone who used it had malfunction problems. Since I play such a low sensitivity I experienced it like 500 times a match lol

What will an RMA do if I have three g303's all experiencing the same issue? Meanwhile I have a deathadder, rival, fk-1, and FM 2015 which all do not have an issue (although I hate all of those mice for different individual reasons)

Don't do that.
Windows 7 64bit
i7 3770k @ 4.2ghz
gtx 680 @ 347.88 WHQL
Soundblaster Z soundcard
8GB Ram
650w PSU
High-power mode enabled on windows
GPU set to max performance
GPU set to MSI(not IRQ default)
And my overclock is set to lower both voltage/processor speed when idle
cores are unparked
Also my g303 is inside of a zowie camade
It malfunctions on desktop but for relevance csgo I have raw input on, mouse speed 0, and have never used a 'mouse fix' because it seems pointless. My opinion is either there's something wrong with the mouse itself or it's somehow conflicting. The malfunction occurs both with and without LGS installed.
All I have to do is swipe the mouse back and fourth while on my desktop and it'll malfunction after 3~ seconds
Actually funny you mention that. I'll have another computer to try it on tomorrow. Although I don't think the results will change - and if they do then we're gonna need some extra bacon for dis adventure
