XEON E5 1680V2

Thread Starter
I have a Sager notebook with an X79 board and LGA 2011 socket. I'm using 2 330W PSUs when I overclock. Right now I have a 4960X CPU. I'm thinking of getting the XEON chip in my title. Would I have power issues like I'd probably need another PSU? it's a 130w chip. Thanks

They have the same TDP but I'd check sager to make sure the motherboard will support it.

The motherboard will support it. I'm just wondering if the bios will see 8 cores. My 4960X is 6 core. Both chips are 130W but a guy I know who has the exact notebook I have said when he was benching his 2 PSUs shut off.
