I use to just take the pad and flap it around to clean it, but this works much better until it's time for a wipe down with a wet towel. Just make sure you don't get a brush with stiff bristles, or it will damage the pad.

You know what I use that works great? They are stiff little brushes that you can find at home depot and Sears for like $0.79. They work great on mouse pads, in the crevices of your mouse. I dont know about you but I have very oily skin and I get crud in the crevices every month or so. These brushes also work great for cleaning crud from the threads of water cooling fittings and parts. Cleans up in seconds.

Here is what Im talking about:

Even though it says its $6 I think that is for a 6-pack of them. Im telling you, if you dont have these youre missing out.

Also thin pain brushes are great for getting doghairs out of your keyboard. Don't use the craps ones though, they leave behind as much as they remove.

Have always used "NEW" brushes when cleaning those polyester based mouse pads. Far easier to keep it crisp and smooth using these type of brushes instead of putting it in the washing machine or dishwasher.

Also far quicker to use a brush than actually getting any machine to clean up any cloth-based pad.
