P55 Ram/Power Question

Thread Starter

Hey, so I traded my i3 4150+q87 itx to my buddy for his old X3440+ASUS Maximus III GENE and I had a few questions about it.

Does anyone know what kind of problems mixing ram kits will do over time? I have assorted ram sticks from the past 5 or so years that I can use on the motherboard, but I was wondering if there will be any harm done to the RAM or the motherboard itself. I have 2x2GB Crucial Tracers (that require  ~1.65v) 1x4GB of Kingston HyperX Blu and 1x4GB of Kingston Value Ram (both of the Kingstons are rated at 1.5v). That doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I figured it would be better to ask.

*The system seems pretty stable with them so far, played a game of SWBF on it and didn't experience any stuttering/BSODs.

Also (for the sake of not making a second thread right after I post this one), any idea how and older Antec EA380D would handle the X3440 and a 7870? I feel like it should be fine, I won't OC the 7870 and I would like to try to hit 3GHz or so on the Xeon, but stock should be fine if not. I will eventually get something better, but I don't feel like spending too much at the moment.

Thanks.

None. If there is a problem with compatibility it will happen on first boot.

Just a note:
Mixing ram doesn't "do" problems. If it does anything problematic it will "cause" problems.
