[G3D] Mad Catz fires 37 percent of staff - Page 2

about time. After there horrible QA of there X55 flight control they should fire all of saitek alone
post #12 of 66
Bad management, buying companies that they shouldn't have, releasing junk like android streaming consoles that no one gives a hoot about.

I have to say during the Xbox360/PS3 generation their console products weren't crap. They actually brought up their quality, I mean look at the fight sticks! Nicely built and used quality parts.

Oh well sad to see people lose their jobs:rolleyes:

Should I be sad or happy? MadCatz have produced nothing but crap from my experience. I even remember a Gamecube 256mb memory card shorting out, frying all the data on that. How do you even screw that up? Well, MadCatz found a way.

If you don't believe me, check out reviews for them. I'm sure they're all negative...

Controllers and all other accessories have just been plain cheap. They try to go after a "value" market but all they can't even do that. You end up spending more money replacing them...

I've bought only two Mad Cats product, a controller for the original Xbox, which still works, and headset, which broke 3 months after purchase. so I'm kind of meh about this mellowsmiley.gif .

While I can sympathize with most of your woes with Mad Catz products, as someone who is mainly a fan of fighting games, this has the potential to end up absolutely awful if they have to restructure their stick division, especially if it turns out that Markman has to go the way of the dodo. I do doubt that'll happen, but it is a very real concern for me.

I have this Mad Catz controller for PS2 still and it's the best PS2 controller I've ever had, they need to get back to those basics.

Bought a "FPS Pro" for my PS3 years ago. The same day i returned it two time. The employee there wanted to test the returned controllers with me, resulting them taking all the controllers of the shelf. The Cross-hair moved on its own, the buttons were hard to press and the left analogue stick tends to get stuck.

Same experience with their cheaper controllers where you need 1KG of force to activate a button.

And let's remember the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 Gaming for 350$! thumb.gif

Their mices didn't last too long, especially their buttons with double click thing, I had a RAT 9 and 2 RAT 7. I like the design and the thumbwheel is awesome, sad, they even stop selling them in my country.
