Hmm... well, I suppose we could investigate it but that effect has already been completely changed, just not out yet in public. So it's probably a waste of time for us at this point to investigate. I haven't seen any noticeable differences between AMD and NVidia myself.

I'm very curious about what the Hitman folks are doing. At any rate, we've got some big D3D12 updates upcoming very shortly. I'd say more, but I'll probably already in trouble wink.gif

Tks for the update. The way I look at this market is that Microsoft is going to be in the driver seat as far as where the developers' focus will be in utilizing DX12, async compute, etc. If Microsoft/(Intel?) want to cross market disparate platforms, then that's exactly what would happen. Either the graphic cards companies can get on this bus, or risk being left in the dust with whatever proprietary pipe dream they may have. Perhaps my assessment is a little malodramatic... lol, but please feel free to give us a holistic view of the state of affairs from your viewpoint, if you would be kind enough to share smile.gif

Not using async is like keeping the graphics technology from having its own industrial revolution.

Just because gpu-z says your gpu is at 100% usage, does not mean its true. Its actually false. Technologies such as async get the true usage much closer to 100%, giving you free performance.


No amount of love for a corporation should ever, EVER stop the industry from moving forward.

Is it really that big of a difference?
I can understand some but 40% seems borderline crazy.
If it truly is like that, it cannot come fast enough.

Essentially not that big of a deal, if you are going to test at 800x600 for hilarity, but these are not moments when gpus are stressed. Magicka developer's word is good enough for me. I think Second Son's developer told the same story to the press. 33 ms > 27 ms on average, plus 10 ms at really heavy loads is a great progress, imo. I still don't know how we test out the '10 ms' part, though - do we count "33 ms > 23 ms", or "43 ms > 33 ms" is anyone's guess. For me, I stick to sensationalism: 43% is a bigger rate than 30% in total, so I cross my fingers for the best.redface.gif
