Crysis was still playable on lower end hardware though. It scaled.

I tried running Crysis on my current system a few weeks back with settings comparable to current games. Maybe it isn't optimized for newer hardware but the performance relative to the visual quality wasn't the best to say the least.

What were your framerates? I was hanging between 50ish to 75ish FPS when I was playing through it.

I don't remember, that was around december and I was playing other newer games with better graphics in 1440p or even 1620p with an easy 60fps. Crysis was stuttering around 20fps as far as I know. Running in 1080p but with AA at full it did much better though. Not even sure if I had any mods installed, but that's very possible.

Yeah I figured... I'll have to bring myself to play the game sometime again. I wasn't really fond of it's mechanics to be honest. It was great at it's time, or at least the graphics, but apart from that...
