I dont know what anybody have against bmw and their drivers. Sure some bmw drivers are jerks but dont put all your eggs in one basket. They are fine cars and my dream car ( except Porsche but I will never have that much money).
One day I will have one and I am a courteous driver and never raced anybody. Take your prejudices somwhere else please.

Ooo, so like the Underground ones. I loved the Underground versions of Need for Speed. The other ones I did not care for. I just hope they bring back custom colors and putting graphs on them. I remember using the glitch on Underground on a Xbox so I could get pass the graph layer limit. biggrin.gif Had more fun with that and then just blasting around the city all the time looking at the car. tongue.gif

I just want the customization brought back. I like my arcade racers with customizing the looks and such.

The Underground games were revolutionary back then and IMO the best NFS games ever made. Sure the new games are great too, but nothing tops the flair and style of those games.

The question isn't that ALL BMW drivers misbehave it's just that percentage wise more of them do as opposed to other drivers of other car brands. This has been noticed across multiple countries throughout the world.

o_O Wait, a company made a racing game....... With only the option to have an autotragic slushbox of a transmission?

And they're now advertising a standard/manual transmission as a FEATURE?

Really?

.....I seriously have no idea what to say about why someone wouldn't want actual control in a game about racing (whether it's arcade or simulation, or somewhere in between).

It's fun that a manual transmission becomes DLC and 60fps is a feature all of a sudden. Are non-original Ridge Racer physics also included in an upcoming DLC?

I'm no one to talk - it's going to sound elitist but I haven't played a NFS since the original, talking 1995, and I loved it (well alright, I played the original Underground and Most Wanted and while they were good it wasn't the same type of game).

Point to point with decently modeled physics. The cars were the highlight and the point was to drive something like a 911 which had relatively little or no traction control at that time and get a feeling for the car.

No riced out muscle cars to cringe over, no bling bling crap, the light strips on the bottom. Every new NFS makes my stomach turn.

And BTW, get off my lawn!

Manual transmission isn't part of any DLC. It will come in a free update.

How hard is it to allow for a manual transmission? This is all beside the point anyway, the objective was to get rid of the manual trans to make the game feel more arcadey. That's the last thing the game needs... If I'm going to grind I want the core of the game to be decent and given the fact that this is a racing game the physics should be a little more realistic. Not talking full on sim but just not taking sharp corners like your a cart bolted to a track.

We're talking about consoles here. EA probably "surveyed" its previous games to see which transmission the console players chose and decided on that. If that's the case it shows what kind of demographic console players are.

If this is anything like Underground 2 oh my god it's going to be sucha smash hit! I played that game for 100's of hours as a kit on GC. What a great game! biggrin.gif
