They've been very open about that since day 1...You actually have nothing to worry about.

Yes, MS hasn't acted shady or tried to hide stuff at all about Windows 10, 100% above board, totally open and honest. I don't know what I've been worried about.

Already too late for MS to make that decision. A lot of people I know have switched to Linux, or like myself have bought a Mac. I'll be selling my Windows PC pretty soon...

Ironically, the original source is from Forbes as well.

Maybe that originally from Forbes article is pretty much wrong, as it's explained here:
http://www.zdnet.com/article/when-it-comes-to-windows-10-privacy-dont-trust-amateur-analysts/

TL;DR: The "tested proof" they made of the 5500 connections had the router just cut all the connections, so Windows never was able to establish them, and kept trying again and again. Things that may have been a single connection were tried up to hundreds of times unsucesfully. This explains also that most of that botched connections were common things like just checking if there was Internet connection available or checking the Windows activation servers.

Further debunking of the "1,000's of connections a day" crap: http://www.windowscentral.com/no-windows-10-not-spying-your-pc-thousands-times-day

Personally, I don't care. I like Windows 10 even though I'm probably one of the only ones who does.

You might want to throw your Mac out too.

I take it you re not a gamer. If you like playing PC games and if you want to buy an oculus rift using linux or a mac is not an option.

Don't you know you can turn off Windows Updates or choose what to install?
