Anyone know how to transmit music from phone to computer without blue tooth?

I was thinking a male-to-male cord would work. I've already set it up so that Stero Mix is taken in (making all computer sounds be as if they were things said on a microphone). I can't get the sound from my phone to my PC.

What phone?
What app are you using to play the music on the phone
Do you have a sound card? If so, which one?
Are you using your motherboard's onboard sound? If so, what motherboard?
What software are you using to play the music?

From your post all we know is that you have two components, both with some kind of female connector.

windows 7. android. I have a soundboard program ready to go on my phone. I can use anyone though. Soundcard is Asus DGX. Motherboard has onboard sound too, I switch between the two with another program.

ALl of this isn't that inmportant. I'll do whatever works. I'll change anything.

Yes, a simple male to male connector will work.

You could also go directly to your amp or powered speakers with a male 3.5mm plug on the phone end and whatever plugs into them on the other.

just to be clear. what i want to happen is to have the phone noise be quiet for me but for it to be picked up by the computer. as if i was playing a song no my pc. I've enabled "stero mix" in my recording section of "sound" . this way when I press the "mic" button in game it will play what the computer is getting from the phone.

if i plug the phone into the speakers it will just play it on the speakers. i don't want to use a microphone.

when I enable stero mix I can easily have my "mic" game button pick up sounds playing on the system. there isn't a mic .... it's much better and clearer and louder. I want to do this but off my phone.

Wait a minute, you never said anything about a game. That's different and I have no idea how to do that.
I'm not a gamer.
Play music, sure, in a game??????

it being in a game makes no difference. just pretend that i didn't mention it. I want to transmit audio from my phone to my computer. so that you computer can record it via stereo mix. this is what I wrote from the start.

Then, yes, a cable with male 3.5mm plugs on each end will do that.

into which socket?

You need to plug it into an audio-in/microphone 3.5mm jack, which should be red if it's color coded or have a legend (image) showing a microphone.
