I'm thinking GDDR5 or HBM. Most likely HBM because of the new memory controller. Big Polaris will likely go HBM2.

Its called economics of the semi business. Yields will be lower to start with. Develop a process on a smaller part then move to bigger parts once yield is up.

You'll most likely find yourself in a position where most games will be AMD optimized with DX12 going forward. AMD did land the majority of DX12 partnerships.

I'm expecting for my 980Ti's to hold value well into June. I might sell one in april for around 550 shipped i'm thinking. I hope it doesn't pull another 780 fiasco though.

probably but that would mean that the lower end GPUs will use a different MC(and arhcitecture?)?

Drivers gets frequently updated almost each month, and sponsorship with the competition isnt a bad thing.
ACU,FC4,R6S, and other are nvidia sponsored and performs quite well on AMD side, mainly due to driver optimization for the most biased titles

Umm that would make sense only if this had always been the case and it hasn't. Both AMD and Nvidia have traditionally went big die first, nvidia mostly with ATi moving to a new process ahead by one generation with midrange cards in the past.

It will be the same for AMD/RTG. Mostly because BIG Polaris would outcompete Dual Fiji. I figured that AMD wouldn't release dual Fiji but since they are then BIG Polaris gets pushed back.

Would be nice to see AMD beat the consumer GP100 to market. Disappointing if BIG Polaris is pushed back to not compete with dual Fiji...

1080 Ti and Titan a year away?

Doesn't smell right.

If Nvidia is a ~year out on GP100 to consumer, and AMD could get theirs out ahead of time, it would be wise for them to do it. Who cares about dual Fiji? That is already a niche as Hell card.

AMD needs to move, if they can, to beat Nvidia to market if Nvidia is dragging heels.
