the 780 dropped at $750 to use defective titan chips.
the 980 dropped for the same $500 barely edging out the 780TI*.

the 670 and 970 were the ~$350 cards . .with the 970 edging out the 780*.

*at release.

No, GTX 670 was launched at $400 beating GTX 580 by 20% (Here)
GTX 970 was launched at $330 matching the GTX 780 Ti (Here)

All signs point toward GTX 1070 beating or matching the big Maxwell chip GTX 980Ti/Titan X for much better value.

Which makes SLI builds possible for a pretty penny not to mention Heat/Power is kept low vs the 980Ti/Titan X which are important to some.

Selective memory I call it lol.
You can already see some 980Ti owners refusing to believe the progress that happens once new architecture and new node happens at the same time. Reality gonna be hard on those

The proof are right there. Sorry dude, I rather believe TechPowerUp than your word on it

If you guys really believe that Nvidia will launch its new GPUs line-up and will offer a much better price per performance value, then you are pretty naive. Nvidia has significantly more marketshare, AMD wont have anything to compete with at that time (Just watch, AMD like always will be late to the party) and you think Nvidia is going to offer more performance at lower prices?

lol

It would be smart for them to make a rather noticeable but not drastic increase in performance and have increased pricing. And that is what Nvidia is going to do.

We are basing it off the 900 series and hoping history repeats itself, but you could be right. Anyway, I am not concerned either way.
