Can old Hardware support SMB Multichannel?

Would SMB multichannel 3 work with old hardware such as xeon 5300?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like the requirements are laid out here.
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/josebda/2012/06/28/the-basics-of-smb-multichannel-a-feature-of-windows-server-2012-and-smb-3-0/

Seems like the requirements are all on the network cards, not the CPU.

However the better the CPU, the better SMB will perform.
I am sure you watched the Linus video on this, and that is the reason you are posting about it.

Thanks for feedback, lol yes I did watch that, though those videos someone's are not well detailed, and more flare if anything. In his video he had different cpu's at each end, and that was causing issues, anyways I'll go ahead and give it a try regardless.
