Being slightly more healthy does not make it much better than puffing the real thing. Vaping if anything is more about cost effectiveness over time. And Don't think for a second the companies that make them don't have an agenda to keep people from using them.
You can label stuff anything you want, but they are just a modern cigarette.
HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) vs cane/beet sugar is still being debated, but MSG is no worse for you then normal salt. The paranoia was derived from an unscientific article and is up there with gluten as far as being a fad for people. Actually, at least there is a gluten allergy for some people that requires avoidance of gluten, and those who suffer have benefited from the fad diet. From what I have read, HFCS is only worse then cane/beet sugar because it's so cheap and is used in excess in foods. MSG is a naturally occurring flavor enhancer that is as harmless/dangerous as normal table salt, and actually can be healthy as an alternative to adding more salt into food due to it's flavor enhancing abilities.
That being said, anybody who thinks tobacco users should "just quit" needs to realize that it is not easy. I do not smoke currently, and I have occasionally smoked a nice cigar or tobacco pipe in the past and plan to do so when I feel like it.
It's great that tobacco use has been greatly reduced in the past 16+ years, but at this point we just need to educate people about the dangers of smoking and let people make their own decisions about starting to smoke or not. Until we have more evidence outside of a single source that vaping is worse for you then smoking cigarettes, then I refuse to believe it.
