psu requirments for overclocking i7-5820k and gigabyte 980ti gaming g1

Just wondering if a EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply is enough to power this setup. Keep in mind I will be overclocking the cpu and video to the maximum allowed. Also this gpu uses more power than regular 980ti it uses two 8 pin connectors. here is my build.

Yes that PSU should be able to power all you components, also when overclocked. As an aside if you haven't ordered all the things, I'd stay clear of the Asus board for the X99 platforms due to having issues. Get something like MSI X99 Krait or ASRock Fatal1ty X99X as they are also good boards.

Just to let you know the Noctua NH-D15 you have picked is going to block off the top PCI-E port on X99.
If get the NH-D15S instead you wont have that problem as its been made asymmetrical so i wont block PCI-E ports.

And yes the 750 watt is more then enough as long as you are going to overclock thre CPU AND add a second GTX 980 Ti and overclock both of those as well.

I checked noctuas website and it says the d15 is okay with the x99 deluxe.

If you want a video card in the top slot the NH-D15 is going to bump up against it.
If you pick the NH-D15S you wont have that problem.

Look at how little space there is even with S model, and as you can see the bottom fan clip is touching the video card.

The normal D15 has even less space then that so no it wont fit with a video card in the top slot even if Noctua say it will.

An X99 Deluxe does not have a top PCI-E slot(at least not in the usual location). It only has 6 slots. So I would go with what Noctua says on their website. A quick search on Google shows that it will fit, it is still pretty close though: http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Motherboards/ASUS-X99-Deluxe-Motherboard-Review/CPU-Cooler-Fit

Yes the Deluxe has the top PCI-E slot like 3mm lower then the R4E and R5E but its still going to be very close.
But what is the problem really? its the same damm cooler so why not get the S and avoid the whole problem all together.

This is way too close for comfort

Get the S version and you get more space between the cooler and video card.
