I'm thinking of buying this monitor and would like to know what guys think about it.

$750 for a 1440p IPS 144hz 27" monitor just seems too good to be true.

Just note, it's limited in the freesync range working from 35-90 FPS. It's the monitor limitation not freesync.

Check HERE for list of freesync monitors and their ranges.

Perhaps some MG279Q owners will chime in on their hands on experience.

Next month ViewSonic comes out with the XG2703 a 165Hz refresh rate adaptive sync IPS monitor you may want to wait for.

Thanks, in this case due to budget I'll probably just get a 60hz 1440p ips benq then. I can pick one up for $500.

It's a great monitor in every way. Was huge improvement in picture clarity coming from 1080p TN monitor. I even 'hacked' mine to have FreeSync from 55 to 144Hz. And since AMD introduced LFC with Crimson drivers, it is 0-144Hz effectively.
