Audio not working on z170 Asus motherboard

The audio output on my Asus deluxe z170 isn't working I have tried all the troubleshooting options in windows 10. thumb.gif

What "sound" are you trying to play?

Have you checked Device Manager to be sure the drive for the on board sound is installed and working?
Have you gone through all the settings in Windows Sound?
Have you chosen the input and output devices and settings, and run the tests in the little speaker icon on the task bar?

Thanks for the info after working with my client we figured it out he had the audio output going to another source thank you for the feedback though! thumb.gif

He put the input to another port because the motherboard has two audio outs and he changed the out-put to the one that he's wasn't using (from what he tells me he did) thumb.gif
