The most recent game with truly remarkable storytelling, that I've played at least, was SOMA from last year. Before that I can't even remember since well written games are indeed so rare.
With that said I am able to find at least 1 great game every year. 2016 is looking good for me; I'm greatly enjoying Total War: Warhammer, and I have high expectations for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Dishonored 2 and Obduction (Myst successor) are also due this year.
you are so wrong
chrono trigger, final fantasy, mario rpg, mario world, just for saying a little
games right now are...............
collect 200 flags
kill the 500 pigeons
race 50 times
assasing creed being the worse offender of all, and farcry being very close, actually everything made by ubisoft, why people like to work on videogames, i dont get it, they stopped being fun a long time ago
the only good games i can remember right now: gears of war, dragon age, mass effect, tomb raider legend, max payne, and yes many others
but most games are annoying, stories sucks, repetitive task, lol
even multiplayer sucks, bf3 bf4, rank crap, teams, etc, i just want to kill people in unreal tournament 2004 and be done with it, no extra crap, by the way UT2004 mp is active and fun
