Need help occasional lost of sound on headset

Thread Starter
I am currently using Sound Blaster Tactic3D Rage with the latest drivers installed. I am using dual monitor one for gaming and one for youtube ie music, videos etc. Once in a while i lose all sound on my comptuer after a few seconds the sound will come back on.

The Headset comes with a USB plugin which i put into my 3.0 USB port. It also comes with jack plugin but i dont use that since i cant use both the mic and headphones at the same time (i am regretting getting MSI MOBO)

Any reason why this is happening? I use to have the lower cost sound blaster FURY headset and it had the same problem as well. (I returned the FURY and got the RAGE)

Should i just give up on Sound Blaster and go with something like Turtle Beach,Razar, Logitech, Kingston

Thanks for the help!

Run DLP Latency checker and watch it for a while.

I will check this after work. I am reading the site and they said that this might be caused by driver issue? Should I remove the driver for the headset and install it again.

Not necessarily. I think what they mean is a different driver using the resource.
