Headset - What should I do!?

Long story short I've had this headset for about a year now. http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Performance-Surround-Gaming-Headset/dp/B008O515CK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455552922&sr=8-1&keywords=senheiser+headset

About 2 weeks ago I had a power cut and I accidentally stepped and snapped the microphone. I've tried gluing it but it just snaps off again, and in the end I just ripped it off. https://gyazo.com/0bb83f0975a55078a57d0fcab0605a29.png

Now my question is. I enjoy gaming like CSGO and I want to know should I just buy a whole new headset with a microphone like this: http://eu.audio-technica.com/en/products/product.asp?catID=5&subID=60&prodID=4471
Or should I just buy the yeti and keep current headphones?

Sorry if I didn't make any sense. Really annoyed about this situation. I want to buy the new headset I linked but these senhiesers have 7.1 sound, isn't that suppose to be good?

You could always get a modmic and with a little work make it look pretty nice and sound just as good as the stock mic and save yourself 200 bucks.

Just a idea. Worth considering.

Isn't 7.1 surround sound the best for gaming and overall everything?
