If anyone on PC is having issues with their Fight Stick not working you will probably have to use JoyToKey. http://joytokey.net/en/

I had to use it to get mine to work. Default buttons on my keyboard are as follows: movement is the standard WASD and the buttons are LP=G LK=B MP=H MK=N HP=J HK=M all three punch=K all three kick= ,

Open up JoyToKey press the buttons on your Fight Stick one at a time to see which button is highlighted yellow in JoyToKey, then select the yellow highlighted button click edit button assignment, click on the first yellow box and press the corresponding keyboard button to have it be assigned to function for that particular button on your Fight Stick then press ok. Do the same for the movement keyboard keys with your Joystick.

Street Fighter V PC Patch Might Add DirectInput Support, Res Switching & More

Capcom has posted a post launch status update for Street Fighter V PC. The publisher is actively looking into adding native DirectInput support, expanded key binding, resolution switching and more.

Now that Street Fighter V is out for both PC and PS4, a Capcom spokesman has taken to the Steam community forums to post a post-launch status update for the fighting title. Following the game’s launch, players have been reporting some issues that Capcom wants to address in the near future.

There are some network issues that apply to both the PC and PS4 versions of the game:

Network / server-side issues (PC & PS4):

Online connectivity – login and intermittent connectivity issues should be less frequent as the service stabilizes now that all platforms and regions have launched.

Matchmaking issues – the issue should be fixed now as the team identified the root cause and have implemented a server side fix few moments ago. Please check https://mobile.twitter.com/sfvserver for the latest updates and server status

Fighter ID corruption – a small number of PC users have reported their Fighter ID getting corrupt after account registration. We’re aware of this issue and will have a fix in place shortly to prevent this from happening further.

Street Fighter V PC specific issues:

Game boot-up/crashing issues – some of these issues may be attributed to certain Anti-Virus software preventing the game executable from launching due to a false-positive error. We recommend users add StreetFighterV.exe and/or the game installation directory to the exclusion list to prevent this issue.

There are other non-reproducible crashes or stability issues that we’ll be looking into. We appreciate if you can continue sending feedback through the official Steam Bug Reporting thread with as much details as possible so that we can attempt to reproduce and fix the issue.

Additionally, Capcom is looking actively into adding native DirectInput Support, expanded key binding, resolution switching, and more in an upcoming patch for the game.

Native DirectInput support – this was one of the more consistent requests we’ve received from the PC community. We realize many fans prefer to use their existing PS3/PS4 compatible Arcade Sticks on PC which are DirectInput-based, so we are actively looking into adding this feature in an upcoming patch. In the meantime, players can use popular XInput remapping tools such as the X360CE[www.x360ce.com].

Expanded key re-binding functionality – we are also looking into expanding key binding option to allow customers to freely map keys beyond the default B/N/M/,/H/J/K/L keys.

In-game language options – the currently set language is based on the Operating System’s UI language. We are looking into adding language options via the Steam client launcher in an upcoming patch.

Resolution Switching – current design requires users to cycle through each in-between resolution setting in order to arrive at a resolution of their choice. We’ll look into making this process much simpler and less time consuming in the future.

Lastly, we’ll provide another round of updates shortly, as soon as we have a solid timeline for when these feature additions will be ready. Please stay tuned!

Street Fighter V is out now for PC and PS4. Check out our review right here.

I'm very disappointed. Being a SF fan since the original it is a disgrace to see the game get released in this state. I will give this game 6 months before touching it. Why is capcom charging full price for a product that is clearly not complete? Thanks for the post Jackalito.

If only there was a way to disable AA and some sort of multi-gpu support. (I know input lag this and that) 4K isn't very fun at the moment with my crossfire R9 290X 8GB VAPORX GPU's.  1440P runs great with everything maxed though. :D

I was lucky enough to have a XBOX 360 Fightstick with SANWA buttons that works with the game.  I look forward to a  proper story mode too.

Can you disable some of the effects, aka motion blur/depth of field? How are you finding the online matches?

With the server issues corrected I think most people are not having issues now. With the exception of trying to use a DirectInput arcade stick. I'm using an Xbox 360 arcade stick and it is plug and play. Even has the buttons mapped correctly. And I have had no issues with it crashing or not loading, or any stability issues at all.

I am in the same boat. Have three Xbox 360 fight sticks, all with SANWA buttons. And all work perfect. Just plug and play. With the exception of the server issues (which are now resolved) the game looks and plays great. Not experiencing any of the other issues people are complaining about. Guess I got lucky.

Can anyone confirm they fixed the battle lounge system? Last night I couldn't search for friends to add and if a friend invited me it said the lounge didnt exist or the game crashed. Was about 50:50 to either of those outcomes.

Now a fighting game that doesn't rely on mouse aiming precision, that is certainly playable amongst all platforms.

What you have there is a major disparity being the INPUT methods of these special computers. The FPS / resolution and display of a game can even get you an advantage going from PC -> PC. It all depends on how the game renders, and there might be a way to get a larger FoV or see around corners slightly, etc..

The point you attempt to refute my statement with is invalid, M$ realized their console money printing press people might get offended that the casual, inaccurate, and easy input system they use, would be absolutely destroyed by something with higher precision, speed, and temporal accuracy.

It isn't a technical limitation.

Following the news since Sept 2015. The fighting game community pushed for an earlier release date to have time to practice for the 2016 tournament season. The original expected ship date was March or April 2016 when most of the content will be ready. Capcom originally was not going to do an extensive Arcade/Story mode, but due to fan demands they are finally making one as a free DLC in June which was announced about a month or two ago. Also there were multiple postings saying direct input may or older PS3 fight sticks may not work and may require 3rd party software to make it work - with them recommending to use either Xbox sticks or get the new PS4 Madcatz fight sticks. I bought an Xbox fight stick just for this purpose. Also you need PC hardware that can do a consistent 60fps (or adjust the graphics settings to do so), because even if it drops a few frames for a short moment you will slow or lag which is what some people are reporting.

None of this came as a surprise but only to people who have not been following news and announcements.

Of course on launch date the online stuff was not working and required multiple server fixes, that was not good. I only pre-ordered to get that shiny Chun-Li outfit.... thumb.gif
