Excavator desktop? Yeaah, there is it! - Page 21

OK little update, cpu overvolting is very high over 105mhz and I'm thinking that is the reason for instability (tried ide mod same story).Anyway I will post some new bench scores tomorrow. MSI ah68hm-p33 v2 motherboard is very well build but lacks some features in bios(like cpu voltage control). All in all very tiny but not bad micro atx bord. Any recommendations on good midrange mobo?

Check to make sure any LLC (load line calibration) features are disabled. Beyond that, it seems like a BIOS support issue.

Also, less module penalty from loading up XV vs Vishera. You could push that sum***** a lot harder and get more consistent results from it.

Though with the small l2 of Carrizo, gaming can be miserable. Maybe a hypothetical 4m/8t XV would have more l2, or some supporting l3? Not sure if l3 would save the day?

The Asrock looks full of features. USB 3.1, M.2 port, SPDIF output (I had some difficulties to find the optional bracket for my asus)

It's not a bad board, just make sure you have some air flow on the VRM's.

Well my shopping day is in middle of next week so I steel have time to choose. My personal favorite is ASUS and MSI but Asus here is overpriced.
In term's of performance to which cpu is 845 comparable?

I will be a little rude... A little bit better than an old i3 sandy bridge ? 860k overclocked to 4.5 matches my 2500k at stock
