Verizon's list: http://www.cnet.com/topics/phones/best-phones/verizon-wireless/

Going solely by sales numbers,

  1. Galaxy S6 + variants
  2. iPhone 6s + variants
  3. Galaxy Note 5

While I will agree that the Nexus 6P is a great handset, it's hard to argue with the facts; the public chose Samsung, Apple, and Samsung, in that order.

That's only because carriers don't offer them. Take T-Mobile I have Samsung, LG or Apple as my only choice unless I go used.

The Nexus 6P and Moto X Pure Edition were the absolute best phones from last year.

You are most definitely welcome to your opinion, but literally every site I have read so far puts the S6 at the top of the pack, followed by the iPhone 6s.

Not saying you're "wrong". It's just that most people don't share your opinion.

S6 is definitely most popular but to call it the best phone is a bunch of malarkey.

No, I definitely agree. S6 was by far the most popular phone, but definitely not the best one.

One thing to understand is that Samsung has finally achieved what they set out to do. The majority of consumers regard Samsungs with iPhone like attitude. Most people will simply buy a Samsung simply because of the brand name. So congratulations to Samsung I guess. The trouble with LG G4, V10, Nexus 6p, Moto X Pure is that they do not have the market penetration that Samsung does. It takes both availability and marketing to achieve sales. The user experience will get you repeat customers, but you actually need existing customers to get repeat customers...

The original claim was that the S6 was the best phone. The burden of proof lies with who made the original claim.

Again. It was pointed out that the S6 may have sold the most, but that number of sales does not indicate that it's the best phone.

So, can you at least explain how the 6P was the best phone?

Someone said that the s6 is the best and posted a proof to back it up, you can argue about the proof but there is a proof regardless of what you think about that.

Someone said that the 6p is the best because he think so, and that makes 6p the best phone indeed?

TLDR, s6 is arguably the best phone, the 6p is not.
