Ummm, no.

Incredibly incorrect.

https://www.kickstarter.com/fulfillment

Kickstarter's statistical failure rate is less than 10%.

In fact aggregate failure across the board is less than 10%.

Also, in the case of failure, they've re-secured and returned funds for the vast MAJORITY of those projects.

That being said - From what I understand, Steam is licensing the use of the software on the device so, they've obviously already seen the prototypes...I'm not personally interested but, if they signed off on it...Has to be something there.

Still, I wouldn't back this project up. I would wait and see how it is. Very rarely has there ever been a great kickstarter project that has delivered to my expectations. Perhaps I set my bar very high...

It won't set any records, but TFT, L4D2, and a few other titles will run just fine at medium or low settings, as well as lots of indie games. It is a quad core with the same IPC as phenom II, so the CPU portion won't hold it back. They run hot for an SOC though. My mint box has a full aluminium chassy, and it easily get up to 45C with the 6400T. Very hot to touch.

The point though is to stream to the hand held, which is interesting concept, but the gaming desktop has to be on the same network. No crysis on the sub way. In my experience with streaming steam games, latency is present at 1080p with both computers on gigabit ethernet.Streaming wifi I dont' think you could get away with anything greater than 720p @ 60fps.
My GPD XD already does game streaming I need a better quality router though as the one I have now is very old. Additionally using KinoConsole the buttons of games are automatically layed out and dolphin works out of the box. I don't know how to close down programs yet though as I start my games trough a shortcut and never actually see the windows environment.

In my opinion the 6700T is really not fast enough I mean fine for most emulators up to PSP and ok for certain oldish games that can run on a potato but not enough at all for more demanding games.

Meh gpd comes in a mere 32/64GB internal but you can put in a SD card up to 128GB if you like.

I was able to play Dead Island on my E-350 when I was going mobile. If they give 128 shader cores some high speed dedicated memory you could do a lot more than the E-350.

microSD can be had for few bucks a gig...yep

and believe it or not...one does not actually need to have all 3TB of their entire steam library on-the-go.

Their website is seriously lacking in the graphics and grammar department.

The SP was in many areas ahead of it's time and still is today. It was so tiny you could literally take it with you and it had great built in back light which the regular advance lacked. Besides that it had a rechargeable battery rather than batteries which was also great.
In some ways it was a greater on the go gaming portable than the DS since it was much less bulky.
