GPU on 2 different PCI E cables?

Thread Starter
I have a fairly large case. I like to keep my PC neat and cable management is apart of that. The problem I am having is, PCI-E cables have 2 6pin connections on a single cable. I want to rout my PCI E cable so its hidden but if I do that I can only reach one pci-E connection to the card. If I use both PCI-E cables then I can rout the cables the way I want them. Will this effect the performance of my GPU?

sorry, more explain. you don't mention psu brand power etc but you're fine to power a gpu off both cables and no, no performance loss.

one reaches, one doesn't. Dual connector and I'm assuming it's the proverbial gnat's chuff away from reaching but the other dual cable reaches. He's fine bro thumb.gif

edit: post a pic Op, cable management for FTW smile.gif

edit2: sp of gnat...

Only thing I can think of is a 6 pin L Connector. Run the cable flush with the GPU to the mobo then flush with the mobo to the Gromit.

Hmm...good idea boss, I might look into some of them for myself. Cabling in this case (and with these cards) is tighter than a ducks....watertight rear end biggrin.gif

A +rep req thumb.gif
