Low profile Radeon 3470 w/ two Display Ports: It sucks. Please help.

I'm using two Display Port to HDMI adapters and two HDMI monitors.

• With Windows 10 drivers, the computer saw two monitors but never, ever, ever turned on the other one. However, windows were able to appear on the "off" monitor and had to be dragged over blindly to the working monitor.

• With the AMD Radeon driver package, and not yet with the 13.1 legacy drivers for Windows 8.1 (which has a corrupted signature, I'm told, so I have to find one not from AMD.com) (EDIT: I have figured out how to click more to get unsigned drivers to install; more updates soon in responses to what you think), only one monitor is recognized.

• Both drivers have made it so that on my 1080 monitors, I can only go to 1440x900, and then there are black bars on all four sides of my window. I have yet to fill the entire monitor with an image of a 16:9 scale.

Do you think I should throw the 3470 into a shallow enough garbage can so that I can still reach in and stomp on it? Why is this happening? When was it that technology had not yet progressed so much that we just had to have such a terrible video card exist?

You're expecting a lot from a $10 video card that's also stuffed with adapters

It was $4.95 with free shipping, but the adapters have in the past not changed my Display Port output experience. I think I'm reasonably upset that I can't have an office computer use two monitors without buying a $30 video card. By the way, I did order an HD 5450 after reading reviews of multiple display setups with it and making sure it has Windows 10 drivers. I'd still like to solve this card's issues, though I think they can be crushed only if I use an older Windows OS or a Linux version instead.

The 5450 I had had only one HDMI port. Maybe two cards?

This one has 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, and 1 VGA. I'm pretty sure that the DVI and VGA are really one port, but it's cool that the card supports two monitors instead of three as I only have a couple. I read two different reviewers of this exact card had posted about their dual monitor setups, so I've got my fingers crossed.

This card is really old, like 8-9 years i think, and it went Legacy 3 years ago already. You can't expect such GPU to run with Windows 10 and such drivers. You should be better spending 30-40$ for a low end 6xxx/7xxx/R5 GPU.

AMD Radeon HD 5450 here, Windows 10 and dual monitors. I'm not a gamer so this works just fine, Runs solidworks great.

If you don't need a lot of horsepower legacy cards are fine.

Yeah, legacy cards are fantastic! Mostly! I just needed to figure out how early I could go in legacy so that things look good on even one monitor, and it seems it's the HD 5K series. It's a couple generations ahead, but I'll manage. Now to find something to do with this 3450...

Wow - I never knew this card existed.

Anyhow, try using another adapter, sometime they may or may not work due to converting DP to HDMI signals.

Also Windows 10 acts funny some time in multi-monitor configurations.

There's one computer with a 7750 running dual monitors, and this other alike computer needed a low profile card but I didn't want to get a $100+ video card just for two screens to exist. Windows 10 is working really well on that 7750 PC, so I was hoping to get a lower cost dual monitor card, and while the 3450 didn't work, this 5450 really needs to. I'll have my fingers crossed for the next few days as the card ships.

For other adapters, I just got these two $5 ones, and I'll try them out on my GTX 770 to see if they work. Is that what you mean?
