Not sure, sounds like they are caving to NVIDIA's legal threats, or the fact that people with GTX970 bought this card and trying to play it in DX12.
I would say that they are trying to dumb it down, so that those NVIDIA people can play it right. But, it is not working.

I mean, as a gamer I am disappointing that people like NVIDIA get out there promoting interests of gamers and graphics, yet do the opposite.

i would be happy if they were just honest, and if I could return my card when they had a card to do dx12 for a discount.
Easy fixed.
But they just want to bully
