Really looking forward to this, it has an unfathomable amount of potential, it's amazing!

I saw this when it got uploaded and started reading about it on their website.

The issue with .hack is that you had to think, and for a lot of people that just want to strap in and be fed it turned them away.

I remember when .hack was new that the only thing people would say is that they missed an episode and have absolutely no idea what's going on anymore.

While this concept seems pretty cool, Ill be skeptical for a while based on the anime they chose lulz

The problem with ./hack was that there was too little action, and beyond too much talking. Most people don't like that. I'm very happy they chose SAO over all of the other VR titles. I love the VR anime genre, and ./hack sucked. Log Horizon, which is one of the main other ones was okay for the first season, but the second season made me want to gouge my eyes out (even worse as I'm a no-drop watcher).

Point in Case.

People didnt like .hack because there wasnt enough super saiyans. People didnt like Log Horizon S2 because there was too much economics involved.

SAO was shallow, you have a whole frontier of worlds to explore and you hardly see any of it. A rushed conflict and ends after each side character gets some screen time, coupled with a rushed romance. Then S2 by comparison spends the entire season on what? 3 days? The pacing was basically non-existent and thats my issue with it.

I guess I just like narrations that require something beyond how loud you scream = skill level.

I liked SAO, but only the first 14 episodes, everything else seems like filler. Though I have no understanding why the fanbase is so loyal.

Hack Sign to this day has some of the best choreographed action scenes IMO. When it first game out, it was breath taking. The main problem with anime now (such as the waste of space trash that is SAO) is it is for stupid people or people who do not care to have their minds stimulated. They just want to sit back and watch DBZ with better graphics basically. There was so much potential depth to the characters and this world they were trapped in, yet at the end, all that was reduced to a steamy piece of turd for our current ADD generation. Honestly, the entire shounen genre needs to just be completely scrapped and rebooted.

Watch Overlord.
I agree about Log Horizon second season tough, felt like a completely different show with the same characters frown.gif

Only if you haven't read the LN.

Legendary Moonlight Sculptor is better the SAO. It is more focused on the gameplay and the word, and not so much on romance as in SAO.

Eh.. that's a rather low bar. LMS is one of the top Japanese LN's out right now, much better than Shield Bro and World Creator Customizer IMO. If we are talking about LN's, I Shall Seal the Heavens is one of the best Chinese LN's that I have read in a while. Every single chapter has my sides in stitches from laughing or me feeling how epic it is.

LMS is Korean. I have read some of the Wuxiaworld novels, but they ware too similar to one another. The only gaming elements in them were the levels. I like to read LN with more rpg element. I'm current reading Kumo desu ga, Nani ka?

I'm wondering how much the lag is going to be. Processing all the visual data from your body position and rendering a world. How much people can we expect to play simultaneously?

My mistake. You are right. LMS is Korean. I started reading that after Shield Hero so I got the two backgrounds confused. Most Wuxiaworld novels are clones of each other but ISSTH's is different. The MC is actually hilarious without being a total douche, womanizer, idiot, or all of the above. If you have some time, give it a shot. It has a TON of "RPG" elements in it as we follow Meng Hao the Con Master. thumb.gif
