If we are talking about LN's, I Shall Seal the Heavens is one of the best Chinese LN's that I have read in a while. Every single chapter has my sides in stitches from laughing or me feeling how epic it is.

i would rate LMS as a good read, but not the best.
if its one of the best read i've done then i'd put mushoku tensei on top as i've actually cried a few times.

theres multiple candidates for a good VRG, such as:
Re:Monster (typical RPG style with a twist of customizable skills)
Spirit Migration (as the name suggests, its the typical RPG style with a twist of freely "possessing" any AI characters)
Accel World (PVP Fighting Action RPG theme)
Index/Railgun (PVP Fighting Action RPG theme)
Danmachi (dungeon crawler theme)

if they wanted to stick with the dungeon crawler theme as SAO is, i'd rather they take Danmachi because of it's uniqueness.

So....this might be kinda crazy, but we MIGHT actually have SAO tech within the next decade or two: http://www.inquisitr.com/2820817/sword-art-online-full-dive-technology-is-real-accel-world-darpa-brain-machine-interface-nervegear-possible/

Apparently DARPA and University of Missouri have been working together to create a non-invasive implant that will allow you to communicate with up to at least 1 million neurons in a given region of the brain. Effectively creating the NerveGear in some respects.

Where do I sign up? I need to meet Asuna.

2022 is the year SAO starts, hopefully we're on track.

Make something like GITC, people will be trippin' balls for that.

Ghost in the shell?

Also i'm quite giddy over this news, i remember watching .hack sign all those years ago and playing the PS2 games. I've watched all of SAO as well and i agree that the first half of season 1 was the best, they really rushed the show for no reason, they could have dragged it on a lot longer and really fleshed out some characters. I did also enjoy the first half of season 2, because guns, who can say no to guns? biggrin.gif

I dont see this coming out anytime in the next year or even 2017, but i'm totally fine with that seeing as how by then we'll have second generation VR HMDs with much nicer specs than the ones about to launch.

According to some DARPA articles, the human trials actually begin in 2017.

Can't wait for VR/AR headsets to get smaller and less expensive. Imagine an AR MMO in the real world interacting with other AR MMO players. Give it 5-15years, it'll happen.

I wouldn't say SAO was garbage but they rushed the story way too quickly and then ended it in the most stupid fashion possible, the next season was "bleh" and the third was just pure garbage.

I seriously doubt that aspect of the game would carry over. As long as it doesn't, I'd be on board. tongue.gif

i wouldn't say that its impossible, if the VR equipment can transmit sensation directly into your brain, imagine a computer virus overloading your brain.
