Sorry, but real life is the hardest game ever and people try everyday to escape and and "LogOut".

How is a video game which is similar any different other than you can now become a murderer in under 10 seconds. hmm..

The actual concept of the game does not include "become a murderer in under 10 seconds".
Nor the "you die in real life".

Not sure if trolling or not, but seems that you did not actually watch the series.

Loah, people here are reading LMS? Totally forgot about that, even when mangacow translates it and i read it from there. In terms of story, pacing and so on, it is really good. It focuses on the MC issues in RL and his attempts to make real money out of the game.

Me too! I really hope they carry the project all the way into completion so that the general public can have a go!

Legendary Moonlight Sculptor is better the SAO. It is more focused on the gameplay and the word, and not so much on romance as in SAO.

OH. Now I remember what "16.5" is referring to... That topic is much too intense for OCN. ninja.gif

Apparently DARPA and University of Missouri have been working together to create a non-invasive implant that will allow you to communicate with up to at least 1 million neurons in a given region of the brain. Effectively creating the NerveGear in some respects.

Hmm... Now this seems very interesting... However I do not think I would want to undergo a medical surgery just to have an implant so that I could play more immersive video games. If they can make it through a headset I'm fine, but an implant? I'm not so sure...

eh I would've prefer a Log Horizon VR instead. The economy concept in Log Horizon is interesting (being able to buy an entire city and then banning ppl out biggrin.gif )

I love the VR anime genre, and ./hack sucked. Log Horizon, which is one of the main other ones was okay for the first season, but the second season made me want to gouge my eyes out (even worse as I'm a no-drop watcher).

Hack Sign to this day has some of the best choreographed action scenes IMO. When it first game out, it was breath taking. The main problem with anime now (such as the waste of space trash that is SAO) is it is for stupid people or people who do not care to have their minds stimulated. They just want to sit back and watch DBZ with better graphics basically. There was so much potential depth to the characters and this world they were trapped in, yet at the end, all that was reduced to a steamy piece of turd for our current ADD generation. Honestly, the entire shounen genre needs to just be completely scrapped and rebooted.

Absolutely agree. I still don't get the hype of SAO simply because I've seen a large portion of all the .hack// series As soon as I saw clips of SAO the first thing that popped into my head was "Oh, a crappy rip off of .hack//" and never went back to the series again.

.hack has faded from peoples minds sadly. A lot of people that watch anime now are the younger generation that unfortunately have a damn silver spoon shoved in their mouth and anything requiring an ounce of mental power to comprehend is instantly written off as boring or slow. Even though visually .hack is incredible, the fact that it does require a little brain work at times means most of these people now a days won't even attempt to watch it. also "hur hur not widescreen its crap" type people are out there too.

I mean, I like my simple comedy shows at times when I want to wind down a bit, but I still need my mental flexing shows too (or light novels/manga) or else my brain will shrivel up.

I think the only reason why they chose SAO is because it's still mainstream sadly. I think if this was 10+ years ago, it would be .hack all the way. I still think it should be .hack based. Everything about .hack is better than SAO imo.

Doubt. I am hopeful, but I doubt they'll actually bring it to commercial. But they better, I swear, we need this so badly...
