Adding a mic to Sennheiser 598s. How to hook up to AV receiver?

I have a pair of Sennheiser 598's and want to add a microphone to it. My Yamaha HTR-3061 has a 1/4" jack in front, but does not have a place to add the mic jack.

Is there a splitter or something I can use to connect to the AV receiver or will I have to connect the mic jack to my PC?

You should look at Antlion's Modmic 4.0, it's very basic to use and all it requires you to do is plug it into the microphone jack on the PC.

That's what I'm trying to avoid. I don't want to have a cable running to my PC. I'de rather everything run to my AV Receiver, which is why I want to know if there is some sort of splitter I can use to my AV Receiver.

You'll have to connect the mic to the PC. Receiver is not meant to pass anything back to it's input source (your PC).

You could run an extension cable along your recievers cabling, and it wouldn't look like you had a separate cable.

If you were really, really anal about the looks you could sleeve them both together, but I recommend against it should you want to replace one of the cables.

I have the trusty zalman clip on mic and it does ok, I'm not doing any voice overs or mixtapes though.
