New Mionix ALIOTH Mousepad

Thread Starter
Could only find a thread about the old version...so here goes:

Mionix has a refreshed / updated ALIOTH mousepad in their lineup. Idk anything about the original. The new one comes in a lot of sizes (medium - XXL the latter being 120x500x3mm big).
New: stiched edges. Water repellent surface.

http://mionix.net/surface/alioth-xxlarge/

My guess would be that the rubber base is standard (with air bubbles) and thus can't compare to the new Zowie pads, but who knows.

If one here checks this pad out, and has a GTFX too, I'd be interested in how the surface compares.

Right, large is a good deal. I'm not crazy about how it's almost shaped like a square though.

Even the large isn't a great deal, pretty expensive and I believe the height up/down is smaller than a lot of pads which are priced cheaper. Honestly I've been burned by a lot of mousepads, only the qck heavy has been usable for durations longer than 5 months. I will try the qpad uc as a last call but other than that I might as well get a qck xxl next

Large comes out to $27~ for me with shipping, ouch!

If you do use it, let me know how it holds up after 5 months or whenever you feel it has been under heavy usage

QCK is 450x400x6mm; Mionix Alioth Large is 460x400x3mm. They're pretty much the same size, bar thickness, and same price: $24.99.

QCK XXL is also only 400mm in height while the Alioth XXL is 500mm, its way too expensive though.

Might pick one up depending on the glide. Will wait until someone posts a review to see how it compares to a QCK and the GSR.

I can compare this new Mionix Alioth to a Corsair MM600 (double sided) if anyone is interested thumb.gif
Sadly I don't own any other fiber mousepads anymore.

Just ordered a large one. The website price was higher than my checkout price on paypal. Ended up paying $21 Euro which came out to $24 USD.. aprox the same price as a qck. I'll review it initially and then again after 2-5 months to let you all know how it is.

Never used this company before but I was deciding between this and a QPAD but the qpad which is $24 came out to $38 with shipping and that was an easy no for me
