5820k @4.6GHz 3.3GHz uncore sluggish.

Thread Starter
5820k 4.6GHz 1.265v (I think that's right) light stress tests IXTU and cinebench temps not go above 67 on core 3 and 5 other cores max 60c, gaming stable tested with GTA V about an hour and a half. Here's the problem I can't get uncore over 3.3GHz system doesn't boot at 34 or higher. System feels sluggish like a degradation in performance.

How do I OC the uncore?

I'll post some screen shots when I get home.

The uncore really shouldn't affect the feel of the CPU, but it can limit the max OC of the CPU. If you feel it is to blame, try this

I recommend reducing CPU OC back to 42x, and set the Uncore to 42x, then OC the CPU while maintaining the uncore at 42 (More than this tends to affect performance negatively)

Warning, your CPU will generate more heat when the Uncore is OC'ed

If you board doesn't have an "OC Socket" then you won't be able to overclock the cache very far.

Fixed. Got the Uncore up by a lil to 3.5GHz didn't quite fix the sluggish issue I was having even after dropping CPU/Uncore clocks to default, but a fresh install of windows seemed to work. Hated having to do that but all is good now.
