I know AMD runs hot, but this cant be right, right?

I had to replace a fan in my so's dell and I figured I would throw some MX-4 on th cpu since I have to take off the heat sink anyway, I hadnt done any cooling test as non of the sensors read right on windows 10 for some reason.

Just did a fresh install of win7, install cor temp and BAM

My lap would be on fire right? Also wouldn't I be experiencing performance loss and blue screens? Also my fan is hardly going above idle speed. Only goes turbo when its under heavy load on all cores.

Use AMD Overdrive to measure the thermal margin (distance from throttling temperature). The integrated temperature sensor on latest APU is borked.
Also, when in idle, it is normal for CPUs to downclock to save power.

I know, intel I5 laptop I have, runs up to 103 C maximum when gaming, it throttles like you do
Runs fine works fine, and stable

With Intel there are no problems monitoring the core temps wink.gif
