[TT] AMD will reportedly reach record low CPU and GPU market share soon - Page 11

Well at least they grew their overall GPU marketshare by a miniscule bit and their overall shipments are up compared to last quarter.

On the other hand, year over year markethsare is still down which is the bad news.

Hope Polaris and Zen can give them a good boost in marketshare.

Fingers crossed they release a CPU that is worth buying, not this current crap they have been releasing.

RTG seems fine, 3xx series is competitive (except Fury-X) and is selling, as reports say, even if re-brands mostly. It should get better with Polaris. What AMD rly needs is Zen to be good.

Yeah, the mobsters also never get convicted of murder, that doesn't say much of the justice system. There is solid proof of Nvidia using relations with devs to sabotage AMD performance, just google. Also that 3DMark "optimization" issue. There's plenty of rocks in Nv's back yard.

Nothing can pry my fingers from my 1090T, nothing but another AMD chip.

Sorry, but not sorry. I don't bite the hand that feeds me.

If it wasn't for AMD, we would be paying a lot more for CPUs and videocards.

Hard for me to forget that.

This doesn't really make sense to me... If you are so loyal to AMD, why not buy one of their new chips? Why stick with the aging 1090T? They have surpassed it a decent amount.

Yeah. And there is solid proof of AMD doing it too. Same with Intel. Your point exactly? There are a ton of rocks in all of these companies backyards.

Trying to survive by making competitive products when possible hardly implies any degree of altruism. AMD isn't the hand that feeds you, quite the opposite.

It's perfectly possible to acknowledge the fact that competition is good, without feeling compelled to purchase a less competitive part, or to hold off on a purchase until the underdog has something competitive.

Handouts are anti-competitive as well. Companies should live or die on the merits of their products and services, not blind brand loyalty.
